Sengkaling Recreation Park is one of the  holiday spot in Malang visited by both  domestic and foreign tourist. The visitors are ranging from various group :children,teenagers,college student ,and even the public
.Its location is very strategis, close tto University of Muhammadiyah Malang and located right on the highway connecting Malang and Batu. its is easy to reach Semgkaling Recreation Park was first  by a Dutch named Mr.Coolman in 1950. Since 1975, the recreation park has been managed by PT.Bentoel Park of Bentoel Group .on may 1, 2013, University of Muhammadiyah Malang took over the park and becomes the largest shareholder of this recreational  park.
During the initial operation,Sengkaling Recreation Park is built only for employees of bentoel group.Yet along with its development,sengkaling recreation park is  finally open for publicThe recreation Park now opens on weekdays and weekend from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. , while Sengkaling food Festival itself open from 5p.m. to  11p.m.
The concept of Food Festival was originally sparked from the idea of using the old parking lot on the recreation park.it also appears from the idea provide a rest area for tavelerss passing throught Batu- Malang to find good place to eat and be relax.
